The View
The resort The View is located only 250 metres from Fuengirola beach. The resort offers free use of the outdoor pool and a separate children's pool with sea views. In addition, you can use the (unheated) indoor pool, fitness room, sauna and Turkish bath. The last two only between 8 am and 8 pm and in consultation with the concierge/gardener. Update 2023: Due to drought problem on the Costa del Sol, coastal swimming pools may remain closed until further notice. Outside is a communal chill-out terrace with bar and lounge furniture. There is no service but you can use the facilities present. For the children there are two children's playgrounds. From The View resort it is a 250 metre walk, via a footbridge, to the "Bikini beach" in Fuengirola. Here is also the castle Castillo Sohail with a walking park that is definitely worth a visit. From Bikini beach, a short 5-minute walk across the footbridge over the river brings you to the Fuengirola promenade. The Cerrado del Aguilla Golf and Chapperal Golf courses are 4 km and 6 km away.
The beach resort of Fuengirola
Fuengirola is one of the most popular holiday destinations on the Costa del Sol with impressive sandy beaches, an 8 km long promenade, and a harbour from where you can enjoy a selection of water sports, boat trips and many cosy bars and restaurants. In Fuengirola, you will find cosy shopping streets, a wide range of international restaurants for every taste and budget, pleasant squares with terraces, and a vibrant nightlife. It is also the ideal holiday destination for families. You can visit the remains of the Moorish Sohail castle on the western edge of the city. In the summer months, there are occasional concerts, a medieval market and a German-style beer festival. Tuesdays and Saturdays are the days for shopaholics when the weekly market is set up in the centre of town on the feria grounds. On Sundays, there is a smaller market in the centre.
