Who is Costa Andalucía Holidays?

Costa Andalucía Holidays is a rental organization for holiday accommodations with office in Mijas Costa South Spain. Costa Andalucía Holidays manages holiday villas and apartments of private owners and mediates between tenant and landlord. Our goal is to create the perfect holiday for you. Our team will therefore guide you step by step in English, from booking to check-out. What does Costa Andalucia Holidays offer and in which area?

Costa Andalucía Holidays offers luxury apartments, holiday homes and detached villas with private pool. These are located in the province of Málaga from Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas and Alhaurin de la Torre to Marbella and Estepona. Through fellow rental companies we also offer accommodations in other parts of Spain. Our complete offer can be found in the menu "Find your holiday destination".

How does Costa Andalucia Holidays select its accommodations?

A large part of our accommodations are under our own management. The accommodations that Costa Andalucía Holidays has under its own management are personally selected by us on quality, location and furnishing with in mind always the question; would we like to celebrate holidays here ourselves? We offer other accommodations in close cooperation with reliable local partners in other parts of Spain. Costa Andalucía Holidays carefully selects its partner travel agencies.

Why a villa, holiday home or apartment instead of a hotel?

Privacy, freedom, your own kitchen and living room and travelling with family, friends or a large group on holiday together are just a few of the advantages. And often renting a holiday accommodation per person per night is even cheaper than renting a hotel.

A villa with swimming pool or an apartment offers you the possibility to go on holiday with your family or family, with a group of friends or several families or couples together.

In your holiday apartment or villa you have a fully equipped kitchen so you can enjoy cooking your own meals, which also saves money. And after dinner you can immediately enjoy in the garden or by the pool.

In a villa or apartment you decide when you get up or at what time you want to come home. After all, you have no fixed times for breakfast or dinner or other obligations.

How do I search for an accommodation?

There are several possibilities to find an accommodation.

On the home page, select the desired travel date and number of persons and click on search. You will then immediately find all available accommodations. You can also select a destination so that you only see the available accommodations in that specific place.

You can also search by clicking twice at the top of the page on "FIND YOUR HOLIDAY LOCATION" and you will see all the accommodations listed. Or select one of the destinations here and you will see all the accommodations in that specific town.

You can also search using the map at the top of the page by clicking on "MAP VIEW".

Then click on one of the coloured circles to view a specific accommodation.


How do I know if the accommodation is available?

Almost every accommodation has its own availability calendar where you can see if the holiday home is available on the dates of your choice. The availability is explained by colours in the calendar. For an explanation of the colours you can consult the colour scheme at the top of the calendar.

Can I book an accommodation online or take an option?

Many of our holiday accommodations can be booked and paid for online on our website 24/7. If you enter the arrival and departure dates in the calendar of the accommodation, you will immediately see the full rental amount. Then click on the "Book now" button. You will then see the various payment options and when you have to pay which amount. You can also choose to take an option here, or request more information.

If you do not wish to book online, you can also contact us via the contact form. We will answer your request as soon as possible. You can also make a booking by telephone during office hours. 

If the accommodation is only available “on request” then the calendar is not shown or is coloured orange. In that case you can request more information by clicking on the "Contact" button and filling in the contact form.

What is an option?

With an option, the accommodation will be held for you free of charge and without obligation for 24 hours. You will then have time to talk to family or friends and find suitable flights. 

Can I only arrive and depart on Saturdays?

In most of our accommodations you can arrive and depart on any day of the week. In high season there is a minimum stay of 7 days. In high season some accommodations have a fixed check-in day. This is displayed in the calendar of the accommodation. On Sundays we do not offer a guided check-in but you can pick up the keys from one of the key safes at our office. For more information about this, see below under the chapter "How do I get the keys?

What is the total cost of accommodation?

If you have searched with arrival and departure dates then the full rental price is automatically displayed. The price shown is the rental price including any mandatory extra costs for the chosen duration of stay.

If you want to calculate the price for a different period, first go back to the availability calendar and select the dates you want.

All prices include the mandatory extra costs. Any optional extras you can book with the accommodation and any discounts you will find under the tab "Prices" in the individual accommodation description.

When do I have to pay?

When booking a deposit of 50% of the rental amount is required plus the reservation costs. The balance of the rent must be paid 6 weeks before arrival at the latest.

The payment of the extras such as final cleaning, travel cots, high chair, etc. may vary per accommodation. These are sometimes paid upon booking, sometimes upon final payment or upon arrival, depending on the accommodation. This is always specified in the calculation.

Consult your reservation form for details and exact dates of payment.

How can I pay?

You can pay online with your credit card or via bank transfer. If you book online, you will enter the fully secure payment environment, where you can immediately pay your payment. After booking you will receive a confirmation email with the reservation form. On the reservation form you can see exactly how the rent is built up and what amount you have to pay and when.

In which currency can I pay?

All payments are in Euros.

Are there any additional costs?

Any additional costs are always mentioned on your reservation form. Some additional costs depend on the service you wish to use, such as placing a cot or high chair or allowing a pet in the accommodation.

When will I receive my travel documents?

After we have received the last payment, but at least 3 weeks before your arrival, (provided the payment has been received in full) we will send you the travel documents by e-mail.

How do I get the keys?

Check-in and handover of keys is possible from Monday to Saturday at our office between 16.00 and 17.00 local time. (Outside high season the office is closed on Saturdays).

Earlier or later check-in is only possible in consultation and with written confirmation by e-mail from Costa Andalucía Holidays.

If you wish to check in outside office hours, you must notify us by e-mail at least 2 weeks before arrival to info@costaandalucia.com.

On arrival outside office hours the keys can be collected from one of the key safes on the outside wall of the Costa Andalucia Holidays rental office.

At least 1 week before your arrival you will receive the route to the office with the code of the key safe. You will also receive all check-in and departure instructions, as well as the address and route to the accommodation.

In the accommodation there is an info book with all info about the accommodation and its surroundings, and important telephone numbers for emergencies.

What to do if I am delayed?

If your flight is delayed, or if for other reasons the trip will take more time than expected, you should notify us immediately by phone or e-mail. We can take this into account and arrange that you can still get in the accommodation.

Can I cancel a booking?

Cancelling a booking is always subject to a fee. Consult our rental conditions, which can be found in the foot of the website under "Rental conditions". The rental conditions are also enclosed with the reservation form. Cancelling a booking can be done by phone or email.

What are the possibilities for hibernating in Malaga South Spain

The Costa del Sol is, as its name suggests, one of the best places in Europe to spend the winter under the sun. Enjoy the maximum number of hours of sunshine combined with the lowest seasonal prices.

We can offer you the best price for a stay on the Costa del Sol. The stay has to be at least 4 weeks in one of our luxurious accommodation with all the comforts of home such as int. TV, free Wi-Fi and heating.

And the coastal towns such as Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola and Marbella are certainly not extinct in winter. Also in winter there is a lot to do and experience.

Winter is also the ideal time to play golf on one of the more than 50 golf courses along the Costa del Sol.

And last but not least, on the Costa de Sol the medical facilities are really good. There are several good private clinics where you can go with your national insurance and there are several international English speaking general doctors, dentists, etc. Information about this can be found in the info book in the accommodation, but you can always call us for assistance during your stay. 

What should I bring myself?

Only your personal belongings such as clothing and your travel documents. Your apartment, house or villa is equipped with a fully equipped kitchen and all cooking equipment and crockery, pans, cutlery, etc. Sheets, duvets, towels and tea towels are provided.

There is a washing machine available with which you can wash your towels, sheets, etc. in between. Beach towels are not standard included. You can take these with you or you can rent them from us as an extra. 

Can I bring my pet?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in most accommodations. In some cases pets are allowed but only in consultation in advance and with written permission of Costa Andalucia Holidays. If pets are allowed then an amount starting from 35, - euros per pet per booking is applied. Please read in advance the rules for pets that are described in the rental conditions.

In which languages can I contact? 

At Costa Andalucía Holidays we can answer all your questions in English, Dutch, German and Spanish. Please note, however, that your local contact person does not always speak your language and will need to communicate with you in English, for example.

Who is my local contact person?

On your voucher (which you will receive from us before arrival) you will also find information about your contact person on site.

This is usually Costa Andalucía Holidays, but in some cases it will be a local agency or a resort- or villa-manager or an owner.

Where can I go with questions or problems during my stay?

What guarantees does Costa Andalucia Holidays offer? 

Costa Andalucía Holidays is a member of APARTSUR, La Asociación de Viviendas Turísticas y Vacacionales de Andalucía and has been registered with the Chamber of Commerce in Malaga since 2003. This offers you the guarantee and the certainty that you book a holiday home with a reliable and professional landlord.

How can I file a complaint?

We hope of course that you will have a carefree holiday with Costa Andalucía Holidays.
However if you unexpectedly detect a problem, error or imperfection then you are expected to report this within 24 hours to the responsible service provider on the spot. This can often prevent discomfort and further complaints.

If you have very serious complaints on the spot, you must inform Costa Andalucía Holidays from the destination by e-mail: info@costaandalucia.com or by phone 0034 952 952 015. This way we are able to solve the complaint.

Complaints afterwards must be submitted in writing and this can be done up to 2 months after the end of the trip.

Why are some holiday homes published on multiple websites?

Holiday homes can be offered in different ways, for example through different web portals. It may also be that a large villa with different prices is offered based on the number of people that will actually occupy the property or with weekly versus monthly prices for a longer rental for the winter period.

Are the photos the reality?

"What you see is what you get" is our motto; we try to show the real situation on our pictures as much as possible. You may therefore be sure that the villa or the holiday home or apartment that you see on the pictures is the house that you book or have booked. It is possible, however, that the owner can renew or modify the interior, for example, there is a different sofa, coffee maker, etc. than the one you had seen in the picture. However, we always try to keep the pictures as up to date as possible because we know how important this is for you.

Is the accommodation also occupied by the owner or others during our holiday?

During your stay, the rented holiday accommodation will never be occupied by anyone other than you and your fellow travellers. You always have the accommodation entirely for yourself and your fellow travellers.

Can I offer my villa or apartment through Costa Andalucia Holidays?

Yes, we are always looking for high quality holiday homes on the Costa del Sol in the province of Malaga in Spain. We are looking for houses from Malaga, Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola to Marbella and Estepona, and inland from Mijas to Alhaurin el Grande and Alhaurin de la Torre.
